Our Mission
Investing in the future of street children
‘At Walou, we believe that every child deserves a family and every child deserves a home.’
Child Education
Our mission is to invest in the future of street children and children living in precarious situations to ensure that their future is bright.
Street connected Children
We only work with partner organisations that have a similar mission to us.
We ensure that our partner organisations work with the children by:
- Offering them an immediate safe haven
- Providing rehabilitation & counselling needs
- Reintegrating them into education & society
- Reuniting them where possible with family members.
Believe in Education
We also believe that education, advocacy and working with communities are the key to preventing children from living in precarious situations.
We are passionate about
- Raising awareness about the plight of street children
- Implementing new approaches of working with street children through research
- Preventing children from turning to the streets by providing alternative means of sustainability.
